Dr. Williams has been in private practice in Washington since 2003. Dr. Williams and his wife Jodi have three wonderful children; Maci, Kael, and Kyler. Dr. Williams grew up in nearby Columbus Junction and graduated from Columbus Community High School in 1995. He attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999 with a BA degree in Biology: Biomedical. He attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. He received a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named to the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. Dr. Williams is a member of the American and Iowa Optometric Associations. Dr. Williams’ area of specialty include contacts lenses, pediatrics, and glaucoma. He also has interest in treating eye emergencies, allergies, and dry eye. He also has years of experience in co-managing cataract and LASIK surgery.
Dr. Lowe has spent his entire professional career practicing optometry in his hometown of Washington, Iowa. He enjoys all facets of his chosen profession, but most of all he enjoys the many personal friendships he has established with his patients throughout his career. He is married to his childhood sweetheart Linda, and is the father of three children, Matthew, Joshua and Lindsay. Dr. Lowe’s list of academic accomplishments includes graduating as valedictorian of his high school class, achieving cum laude honors with a B.A. degree from Harvard University, as well as graduating magna cum laude from Illinois College of Optometry where he received both Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees. He was also named to the Tomb and Key and Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor societies. Dr. Lowe works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care through continuing education, and remains steadfast in his desire to provide his patients with the most technologically advanced comprehensive eye care possible. Hence the name Modern Eye Care, where you will find the latest in optometric diagnostic equipment. He remains positive about the future of his profession and hopes to practice well into the future.
Dr. Hangartner joined the Modern Eye Care team in 2017 after spending three years with American Eyecare in Fairfield and Ft. Madison. Dr. Hangartner grew up in Postville, IA and graduated from Postville High School in 2006. She attended Buena Vista University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She then moved to Houston, TX to attend the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2014. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was named to the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key honor societies. Dr. Hangartner is a member of the American and Iowa Optometric Associations. Dr. Hangartner enjoys helping patients see their best through glasses and contacts that meet our ever changing visual demands. Her areas of specialty include pediatrics, dry eyes, and glaucoma. She also has interest in treating eye emergencies, allergies, and diabetic eye care. She has several years of experience in co-managing cataract and LASIK surgery.
